The Tui song Sky Mind Space works arise from my relationship with these hills, trees, birds and the sun and the sky. My joy in their unique beauty, my sadness at the small and diminishing scope of these marginalized and endangered ecosystems.

I endeavor to draw the viewer in to an intimate space to engage with the surface mark and colour. To dwell a while, see and hear the bird "shout, chuckle, chaark" feel the sun, the heat, see colour 'splode, be there.
